Dogwood Campground
Aptly named due to the magnificent Dogwood trees that fill the area, Dogwood Campground provides a stunning scenic backdrop not far from Lake Arrowhead. All 93 campsites are positioned to offer maximum seclusion. The park can accommodate motorhomes, trailers and camper units, and amenities include modern restrooms and showers, picnic tables, firewood, fire rings, dump station, and electrical hook-ups. There is also an on-site amphitheater, where evening campfire programs are held on Friday and Saturday nights.
Northshore Campground
Situated in a setting of oak, manzanita, and pine trees adjacent to Lake Arrowhead’s north shore, this campground provides day use or picnicking for only $5 per day. Deep Creek scenic access begins at this campground through the North Shore Recreation Trail. The facility itself boasts a total of 27 campsites. Two of the sites can accommodate trailers up to 22 feet in length, and others are suitable for campers and motorhomes of smaller sizes. There is also one handicap accessible site available. Amenities include a campground host, picnic tables, rest rooms, hiking trail, garbage dump, firewood, fire rings and potable water.
Green Valley Campground
Green Valley Family Campground is situated in the mountains near Arrowbear, the latter of which is the midway point between Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead. This campground is surrounded by a lush meadow located amidst a dense forest of tall pines. Nearby Green Valley Lake offers boating, fishing and swimming. Forest roads in the region are terrific for scenic driving and mountain biking. The park has 13 RV sites offered on a first come, first served basis. Amenities include firewood, picnic tables, drinking water, hiking trails and flush toilets.
Crab Flats Campground
This primitive campground is a paradise for off-roaders, with nearby trails for both the experienced rider and the beginner. This facility is located in the San Bernardino National Forest, eight miles from Green Valley Lake. The park is accessed by a dirt road, and is surrounded by cedar, oak and pine trees. There are five RV sites at this facility, as well as several spaces for tent camping, and campsites are free during winter. The closest towns are Running Springs and Lake Arrowhead. For RV vacationers who enjoy wandering the backcountry, Crab Flats Campground is the perfect choice. Amenities include piped water during the summer season, fire rings, garbage dump, vault toilets and an on-site campground host.
